FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Heart of Brevard and Earth Mountain Bicycle Partner to Provide Valet Bicycle Parking for 2023 Events

BREVARD, NC – Heart of Brevard and Earth Mountain Bicycle are proud to announce a collaboration that will provide valet bicycle parking for all HOB major events in the 2023 season. This partnership highlights the impact of cycling on the community and the importance of providing convenient and accessible parking for cyclists.

Heart of Brevard is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the vital downtown district of Brevard, NC. Earth Mountain Bicycle is a locally owned and operated bike shop that offers a wide selection of bicycles and accessories, as well as repair and maintenance services.

Together, Heart of Brevard and Earth Mountain Bicycle recognize the need for improved bicycle infrastructure and accessibility in Brevard. By providing bicycle parking for events, the organizations aim to encourage more people to ride their bikes and to showcase the positive impact that cycling can have on the community.

“We are thrilled to partner with Earth Mountain Bicycle to provide bicycle parking for all of our events in the 2023 season,” said Nicole Bentley, Executive Director of Heart of Brevard. “This collaboration not only makes it easier for cyclists to attend our events, but it also highlights the importance of sustainable transportation options and providing cycling infrastructure downtown.”

The first event that will benefit from the new bicycle parking initiative is White Squirrel Weekend, May 26-28, 2023. Cyclists are encouraged to bring their own lock to secure their bike(s) during events. Bike parking will be available on Saturday, May 27th from 9am-5pm and Sunday, May 29th from 9am-4pm at Earth Mountain Bicycle located at 66 East Main Street.

These events draw thousands of cyclists to Brevard each year and the new parking options will make it easier for participants to attend and enjoy the events.
