Heart of Brevard announced a new fall art event, The HeART of the Season, celebrating local arts & culture in historic downtown Brevard, November 21-22, 2020.
“Our committee has been exploring creative ways that can connect our artists with the community that loves them in a safe and enjoyable way, said Lucy Clark, Chair of Heart of Brevard’s Hub for the Arts Committee and owner of The Lucy Clark Gallery. “This simple, two-day event, will allow galleries and studios to show off their creative skills and those that they represent with a self-guided walking tour to participating businesses throughout our beautiful downtown area.”
The HeART of the Season begins on Saturday, November 21 from 10:00am-6:00pm. On Sunday, November 22, the festivities continue from 12:00pm-4:00pm. Visitors are encouraged to visit shops throughout downtown to see a variety of handcrafted items including pottery, paintings, jewelry, woodworking and more.
Select studios and galleries may offer artist demonstrations, live music and special pricing. Participating restaurants will offer seasonal specials and to-go options throughout the weekend.
“Brevard is known as a vibrant hub for the arts and this is a wonderful opportunity to experience the local creative scene, explore downtown and connect with other art lovers,” shares Nicole Bentley, Executive Director with the Heart of Brevard.
Earlier this month, Heart of Brevard announced plans for a virtual Halloweenfest, Downtown Holiday Windows competition and virtual Twilight Tour events.
Downtown Brevard and its business have implemented essential COVID-19 safety measures and precautions including the implementation of hand sanitizing stations in downtown and the creation of multiple public, outdoor dining areas. Please remember to keep fellow attendees and our community safe by wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing and frequently sanitizing your hands. Participating studios and galleries will sanitize their space frequently, provide hand sanitizer and masks for attendees and practice social distancing at their businesses.
“While our downtown events will look differently than they have in the past, we are excited about the creative alterations we have planned to provide safe and festive community celebrations for the reminder of the year,” said Bentley.
