Independence Day Community Celebration
Oh say, can you see the best Fourth of July event around? We sure can and here in Brevard, it’s red, white and blue, through and through. Our community Independence Day Celebration is summertime at its best with an all-day street festival featuring local crafts, live music, food vendors and children’s activities throughout downtown.
Independence Day Community Celebration
Monday, July 4th, 10am-5pm
It’s a red, white squirrel and blue Independence Day Celebration in downtown Brevard! Festivities kick off at 10am and the fun continues throughout the day. This community-wide celebration includes something for the entire family including Sycamore Cycles Patriotic Bike Parade, Transylvania Community Arts Council Arts Showcase, Transylvania Cruisers Classic Car Show, local food vendors and children’s activities.
Join elected officials for the Official Flag Raising Ceremony, singing of the National Anthem and reading of the Declaration of Independence.
After dark, the fireworks extravaganza will begin at approximately 9:30pm. Find a spot to sit and enjoy the impressive and jaw-dropping display of fireworks as they fill the night sky with colors and light!
The Independence Day Celebration is produced in partnership with the The City Of Brevard, Transylvania County and Transylvania County Tourism.
The Independence Day Celebration will be held rain or shine.

Where: Fireworks will be launched from Brevard College’s campus.
Suggested Viewing Spots: Brevard College’s Campus and Jailhouse Hill (Broad St. from E. Main St. to French Broad St.).
