Artist Check In

• Monday 10AM-12 Noon and 2PM-4PM at Heart of Brevard
• Tuesday 8AM-10AM at Heart of Brevard

Artists must check in no later than 10AM on Tuesday, September 10th to have their canvas or paper stamped prior to beginning work to be eligible for entry in the Saturday Wet Paint Sale.

Demonstration with Featured Artist, Kyle Buckland from 4PM – 6PM

This year’s featured artist is renowned Plein Air Painter, Kyle Buckland. The location of the demonstration will be announced 2 weeks prior to the event and your attendance is included in your entry fee.

Quick Draw Event

Quick Draw check in from 3PM-3:55PM

Quick Draw Starts at 4PM prompt and brushes down at 6PM prompt. 

Your Quick Draw work is to be submitted between 6:05PM-6:30PM with judging taking place starting at 6:31PM. Deadline to submit Quick Draw pieces for award consideration is 6:30PM. Please do not be late in turning your work in.

Artwork drop off for wet tent sale

• Wednesday 12 Noon-4PM
• Thursday 12 Noon-3:30PM
• Friday 9AM-12 Noon *Deadline to submit artwork for the Patron’s Party. You must submit one piece to the Patron’s Party.
• Friday 9AM-2PM for artwork submitted to Wet Tent Sale

Patron Preview Reception

Trust Center, 67 West Main Street

Experience the exclusive unveiling of exceptional artwork at the  Fourth Annual, Brevard Plein Air Festival’s Patron’s Preview Party, held at the historic Trust Center located at 67 West Main Street, Brevard, NC. This ticketed event offers art enthusiasts and collectors the first glimpse of the competition’s finest pieces, curated by thirty talented artists from across the United States. These artists have spent a week painting throughout Transylvania County and Downtown Brevard, selecting their most impressive works for display. The evening promises a delightful atmosphere of celebration, where guests can mingle with the artists, savor hors d’oeuvres, and enjoy a glass of wine to the music of Rick Kuncicky.

 Tickets are available in advance, ensuring attendees are among the first to appreciate the artwork in the newly renovated Trust Center. Art enthusiasts and collectors can also anticipate a lively art sales event, Additionally, purchased tickets contribute towards art purchases during the preview event or during Saturday’s Wet Paint Sale.

All artists are encouraged to attend this event. This event is inclusive of your application fee and the invitation extends to Artists + 1. We will be sending out an RSVP for this event approximately four weeks in advance. Art Patrons will be in attendance and will be able to preview your work. 

10AM – 5PM Wet Paint Tent Show and Sale. All available work created during the week will be hung and ready to head to its forever home!

12:30PM Quick Draw Paint Out Competition Award Ceremony

5PM – 6:30PM Artists collect any unsold paintings. Please note, any paintings not collected by 6:30PM on Saturday the 14th become the property of Heart of Brevard and Brevard Plein Air.
