How do I apply?
All applications are submitted online and include convenient online payment options. To stay informed about upcoming opportunities, application announcements, and deadlines, sign up for the Heart of Brevard newsletter.
How much does it cost?
All application and booth fees are required per event and must be submitted by the application deadline.
Vendor booth fees vary by event and are based on booth type and size. Accepted vendors will receive full details regarding booth fees and payment schedules upon acceptance.
Payments not received by the deadline are subject to a $50 late fee.
Think Local discounted rates are available for vendors who reside in Transylvania County. To receive the local rate, applicants must provide proof of residency at the time of application.
Are vendor fees refundable?
Vendor fees are non-refundable. Failure to notify us of a cancellation (no call/no show) may result in disqualification from participation in future events.
Does Heart of Brevard provide electricity?
We do NOT offer electricity. Please note: vendors with Whisper Generators are given priority event placement.
What if there is inclement weather on the day of the event?
All Heart of Brevard events are rain or shine, so come prepared for weather conditions! Please keep in mind that refunds are not issued for weather-related conditions and the event may be canceled or shortened at the discretion of Brevard or Transylvania County public safety officials (check with your insurance agent about event insurance that provides coverage).
Does Heart of Brevard require vendors to have liability insurance?
Heart of Brevard requires ALL food vendors to provide a certificate of insurance.
The Certificate of Insurance (COI) should list BOTH the City of Brevard and Heart of Brevard as additional insured AND as certificate holders, with respect to the general liability policy of at least $1M. Heart of Brevard’s address is 43 South Broad Street, Brevard NC 28712. The City of Brevard address is 95 W. Main Street, Brevard, NC 28712.
In the “description” field, write: “Certificate holder is an additional insured for general liability policy.”
COIs can be uploaded in the application or emailed to [email protected] by the deadline, or physically mailed in with payment before the deadline. Mailed COIs must be delivered to Heart of Brevard at 43 South Broad Street, Brevard NC 28712
Non-food vendors: If you are not a food vendor and do not have liability insurance, please contact us at [email protected] or 828-884-3278, to discuss possible options.
Am I required to provide my own tent and table setup?
YES! All vendors must provide tents for their booths and are fully responsible for their entire booth setup, including tents, tables, and chairs.
Please note: Each tent leg must be securely weighted with a minimum of 40 pounds. This weight requirement is strictly enforced by the Brevard Fire Department to ensure safety during the event.
If you forget your weights, sandbags and 5-gallon buckets can be purchased locally at Ace Hardware, located at 87 W. Main St., Brevard, NC 28712.
Are vendors allowed to handbill?
All sales must take place within your designated booth space. Roving vendors and hand billing are strictly prohibited.
Does Heart of Brevard have a Leave No Trace policy?
Vendors are required to leave their booth area in the same condition in which it was found. Please bring a broom and any necessary materials to clean up food, grease, or other debris. All waste must be bagged and removed from the site by the vendor. Food vendors must also provide appropriate ground cover to protect surfaces beneath food preparation areas.
Failure to comply will result in a $150 Leave No Trace violation fee.

Are political candidates allowed to participate?
Political candidates may only participate if they are representing a registered nonprofit or community organization.
Heart of Brevard does not endorse candidates for public office. Therefore, candidates may not set up individual displays, participate in events in a campaign capacity, distribute campaign materials or handbills, or sponsor any Heart of Brevard events.
No Smoking Policy
In accordance with City of Brevard regulations, smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited within the footprint of all permitted special events. This policy is in place to promote public health and ensure a clean, family-friendly environment for all attendees.
Failure to comply may result in your booth being closed and may disqualify you from participating in future Heart of Brevard events. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our downtown events smoke-free.
Can I bring my pet?
In accordance with City of Brevard regulations, pets are not permitted within the footprint of permitted special events. This policy is in place to ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all attendees.
Only service animals are allowed.
Failure to comply may result in your booth being closed and may disqualify you from participating in future Heart of Brevard events.
