Nicole Bentley\, Heart of Brevard Executive Director and event organizer. “It is a celebration of Brevard’s unique charm\, community spirit\, and vibrant arts and music scene\, all in honor of the town’s beloved mascot\, the white squirrel.” \nFestival Highlights\nLive Music on the Main Stage\nEnjoy three days of live music in the heart of downtown Brevard. \nStreet Festival + Local Shopping\nExplore more than 80 vendors featuring handcrafted goods\, jewelry\, artisan crafts\, food\, beverages\, and more. Downtown’s independent businesses will also be open for shopping and dining throughout the weekend. \nBeer Garden + Social District\nLocal craft breweries\, including Oskar Blues Brewing\, Noblebräu and Brevard Brewing Company\, will serve a variety of craft beers\, along with draft wine. SUMMARY:2026 America 250 Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Independence Day in downtown Brevard with an expanded two-day celebration honoring America’s 250th anniversary. Festivities begin on Friday\, July 3\, 2026\, with an evening street festival on East Main Street featuring local vendors\, food trucks\, a beer garden\, and live music—setting the stage for a full day of community celebration on July 4. \nOn Saturday\, July 4\, downtown will come alive with a full street festival from morning through evening. The day begins with the Transylvania County Farmers Market and continues with craft\, retail\, food\, and nonprofit vendors throughout downtown. Visitors can enjoy live music\, a classic car show\, a youth bike parade\, and family activities including a foam party and mini golf. Patriotic traditions will also take center stage with a flag raising ceremony\, a reading from the Declaration of Independence\, and a community birthday cake celebration. \nAdditional highlights include a beer garden\, Rocky’s Hot Dog Eating Contest\, an old-time street dance with live bluegrass music\, and plenty of opportunities to explore downtown shopping and dining.
