Transylvania Tomorrow Small Business Emergency Relief Fund
The Transylvania Tomorrow Small Business Emergency Relief fund is an initiative created by the Transylvania Business Support Task Force to support Transylvania County small businesses during the COVID-19 epidemic. The program, which will be funded through the Community Focus Foundation 501(c)(3) will award grants up to $3,000. In three months over the summer of 2020, the Transylvania Tomorrow Small Business Emergency Relief Fund raised and distributed $166,500 to 93 businesses throughout Transylvania County.
The Business Support Task Force was formed as a direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic with the mission of working together to support the business community as they work through and recover from times of crisis. The Task Force is made up of the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce, Heart of Brevard, Transylvania Economic Alliance, Blue Ridge Community College Small Business Center and Transylvania County Tourism. The Task Force are also all sponsors of the fund.
